"Bear-ly" Champions
     Record wise it was a mismatch. The Grizz were seven games better than anyone this season and eleven better than their XBA Final opponent the Orlando Magic. For whatever reason, the Grizz came out flat in the series and lost the opening game and proceeded to fall behind 3-1. On the verge of elimination, regular season MVP Mike Bibby put the team on his back though and lead them to victories in games 5, 6 and 7 putting the upstart Magic in the loser bracket for the second straight time in the Finals. Both teams played a tremendous series and the playoff MVP trophy was awarded to Magic forward Kevin Garnett. Now the league looks to the draft.
